Account Summary Help

1. If you see a negative (-) figure under "Current Amount Due", it means there is a refund due to the property owner.

2. Listed below are the meanings of the type of bill that could appear under "Bill Type."
    a. Full Year                           - this is a bill for assessment of structure(s) and/or or land for a full fiscal year taxing period, July - June.


    b. 3/4 Year Improvement    - this is a bill for assessment of structure(s) and/or or land for a full partial year taxing period, October - June.


    c. Half Year                           - this is a bill for assessment of structure(s) and/or or land for a full partial year taxing period, January - June.


    d. 1/2 Year Improvement    - this is a bill for assessment of structure(s) and/or or land for a full partial year taxing period, April - June.


4. If the property has been sold at a previous tax sale, the account summary screen will not display any information in
    the box that normally shows years available. It will give you a message directly under the premise address to
    "Please call the Tax Sale Unit @ (301)952-3948", call them to obtain information on redeeming the property from tax sale.
    Note: When redeeming property from tax sale, you must always pay with guaranteed funds, (i.e. cash, money orders,
    mortgage company checks, cashier's check or certified check). Personal and business checks will not be accepted.
